SEO Blog Autopilot

Zapier and Make

Send every new article to Zapier or Make, then on to any tool they connect: a CMS we don't support directly, Google Docs, Slack, a newsletter or a spreadsheet.

How it works

Choose Any site (webhook) as your platform in website settings and paste the webhook address Zapier or Make gives you. When an article is approved we send it there as JSON, signed with your secret in the X-Blog-Autopilot-Signature header (sha256= followed by an HMAC-SHA256 of the request body). Updates to an existing article arrive as article.update with the same fields plus id. Saving the connection sends a ping event first.

Zapier

  1. Create a Zap with the trigger Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook and copy its URL. Webhooks by Zapier may need a paid Zapier plan; check yours.
  2. In SEO Blog Autopilot, website settings → Any site (webhook), paste the URL and save. The test ping shows up in Zapier.
  3. Approve an article (or wait for the next one) so Zapier receives a real example, then map article__title, article__html and the other fields into your action, for example “Create post” in your CMS or “Create document from text” in Google Docs.
  4. Reply with nothing special: Zapier answers 200, and we record the article as sent. To store the article's address, return JSON with url from a Code step (optional).

Make

  1. Create a scenario starting with Webhooks → Custom webhook and copy its address.
  2. Paste it in website settings → Any site (webhook) and save; Make receives the ping and learns the data structure.
  3. Add the module for your destination and map article.title, article.html and the rest. Add Webhooks → Webhook response with {"url": "…"} if you want the published address shown in your reports (optional).

Checking the signature (optional)

In a Zapier Code step or a Make function, compute HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body with the secret shown under your webhook settings and compare it with the header. Ignore requests that don't match.

Field names are stable; new optional fields may be added. Articles still follow every quality rule and your approval setting before anything is sent.
